Derrius Guice Could Undergo Surgery

Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice (knee) is expected to get a second opinion on his injury. In the event that the sophomore would have to undergo surgery, Guice could miss up to six to eight weeks. Guice was able to suit up for the first time in the team's loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, however, a flare-up in his knee prevented him from finishing the game. If the running back misses significant time, fantasy owners would be best served to either place him on the IR or drop him entirely in 10-12 team formats. While Guice could be an explosive talent, he has neither proven he can stay healthy nor that he can be a successful fantasy option. Considering that he would have to be eased in once more into the lineup and he would be competing with veteran Adrian Peterson again for touches, Guice's potential ceiling this year is an RB3, at best, while his floor is that he misses the rest of the season entirely.
