Jay Bruce Leaves Game Early

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce left Tuesday's game early with an apparent rib injury. Roman Quinn came in to finish Bruce's at-bat and took over in center field with Adam Haseley shifting to left field. Bruce was hitting just .259 but had 10 home runs and a .580 slugging percentage since being acquired by the Phillies on June 4. The Phillies should provide an update on Bruce after the game but if he misses any time Quinn and Haseley should see more playing time. The most attractive fantasy option if Bruce misses time, however, may be Nick Williams who is slashing .358/417/.651 in 120 plate appearances in Triple-A.
