Mike Clevinger Expected To Go Back On Injured List

The Cleveland Indians are expected to place starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (ankle) on the injured list with a sprained left ankle he suffered in his first start back from the IL on Monday. One candidate to make the start on Saturday against the Tigers is right-hander Aaron Civale, as his start was skipped on Thursday at Triple-A Columbus. He's 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA in two starts for the Clippers this year and went 4-0 with a 2.67 ERA in five starts for Double-A Akron. The good news is that Clevinger might only need to miss one turn through the rotation this time around. The right-hander has the potential to be a fantasy ace, but his 2019 season has been disrupted by injuries.
