The Philadelphia Flyers placed defenseman Andrew MacDonald on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract, general manager Chuck Fletcher announced on Saturday. MacDonald posted just nine assists with a minus-5 rating with 30 hits and 95 blocked shots over 47 games for the Broad Street Bullies this past season. He is known for his willingness to sacrifice his body and block shots, but he doesn't help fantasy owners in very many other areas. He'll likely find work for the 2019-20 season, but only those in deeper pools need to pay him any mind.--Daniel Dobish
