Corey Kluber Begins Strengthening Exercises
Corey Kluber (arm) had a good evaluation on Thursday and the bone in his arm is healing well. He has started strengthening exercises and will be re-evaluated again in a couple of weeks. It's been a lost season so far for Kluber, who had a disappointing 5.80 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in his seven starts before the injury. There remains no timetable for his return, but the good news is that he hasn't had any setbacks from his broken arm. The 33-year-old should be able to pitch again this year, but we won't know when that'll happen or how effective he'll be when he returns. You have to keep him stashed in all leagues, though.
