Jeimer Candelario Plays DH In Rehab Start
Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) worked as the designated hitter Wednesday in his rehab assignment with Triple-Toledo and went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Candelario has been on the shelf since June 4 with inflammation in his left shoulder, and also spent time in the minors earlier this season after struggling mightily at the dish. After hitting .283 in 127 games just two season ago, Candelario's plate production has declined steadily. There's been no sign he'll start to hit for average, and the 19 homers he hit in 2018 seems like a near impossibility at this point. It's been a disappointing year, to say the least.
