Didi Gregorius Will Play in Extended Spring Training Games

New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) is scheduled to begin playing in extended spring training games on Monday. Gregorius is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery. The Yankees plan to use Gregorius at designated hitter when he returns that way they don't put too much stress on his elbow. There is a chance that Gregorius returns by mid-June, but that depends on how he feels. These spring training games are a positive step forward.
