Rick Porcello Just Short Of Win

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello gave up a game-tying home run to Jose Abreu in the sixth inning to squander his win on Sunday. He was otherwise sharp against a weak White Sox lineup, allowing two earned runs and striking out seven through six innings. He’s trending up as he has notched quality starts in all of his last three outings. He has good value for his win potential and consistently racking up around 200 innings per season. He’ll carry a 5.11 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 37 innings into his next start against the Mariners who have scored the most runs in the MLB this season, but also have struck out the most often. The way Rick is rolling, he’s in play with good strikeout upside.
