After an electric start to his debut professional season, New York Mets first baseman Peter Alonso has begun to struggle at the plate. After striking out twice and failing to record a hit in four plate appearances, the 24-year-old's batting average dropped to a season-low .292. This has been a result of a free fall that has seen him hit just .208 across the last seven games. Regardless, he's still managed to hit a pair of home runs during that stretch, now with eight on the season to go with 21 RBI.
