Homer Bailey Rocked By Rays

The Kansas City Royals don't employ the opener approach embraced by some other teams, but starting pitcher Homer Bailey didn't escape the second inning anyway on Tuesday. Bailey allowed four earned runs on three hits and four walks in just one-plus inning, taking the loss against Tampa Bay. Everything was out of sorts for Bailey in this start. He began the day by walking the first two batters, he posted his lowest average velocity of the season and he didn't strike out a single hitter. He'll get a shot at redemption this weekend when he gets to face the Rays at home. Maybe he'll have it together next time, but fantasy owners shouldn't find out the hard way.
