The New England Patriots and defensive end Michael Bennett agreed to a reworked two-year deal on Tuesday with a base value of $16.75 million, including a $4 million signing bonus, according to sources. The move saves the Pats $700,000 in salary cap space this season. New England acquired Bennett from the Eagles this offseason in part to help fill the void left by Trey Flowers in free agency. The 33-year-old can still be effective in doses rushing the passer and had 34 tackles, nine sacks and two forced fumbles in 16 games in his lone season with Philly in 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
