Jeff Skinner Injured Early, Returns To Finish Game
Buffalo Sabres left wing Jeff Skinner (leg) suffered what appeared to be a serious left leg injury in the second period of Saturday's 5-2 win against the Washington Capitals. He was helped off the ice by the training staff and didn't appear to be able to put any pressure on the leg after a hit from left wing Carl Hagelin. However, he made a miraculous return in the third period, and it appears disaster has been averted. He had an assist before the injury, too. He was apparently able to walk around in the locker room during the second intermission, so he gave it a go and said "good training staff" when asked how he made it back so soon.
