Washington Capitals left wing Jakub Vrana was involved in three goals on Tuesday, finishing a 5-3 win over Philadelphia with two goals and one assist. With Nicklas Backstrom (illness) out, the Caps were forced to shuffle their lines, but it worked out wonderfully, as the second line had a dominant performance. T.J. Oshie scored twice and Lars Eller tallied one assist. John Carlson had two assists, becoming the fourth Capitals defenseman to reach 40 points within his first 41 games of a season. Vrana has been inconsistent with his offensive production throughout the season, but he leads all Washington forwards with a plus-14 rating, so he's playing an effective, team-oriented game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
