Blake Snell Wins His 17th Saturday Versus Cleveland

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell continued his dark-horse case for the American League Cy Young award Saturday versus the Indians. He would last 6 2/3 innings allowing two runs (one earned). Snell would strikeout nine batters on the way to his 17th win of the season. Snell has had 17 starts this season where he has allowed either one or no earned runs. Snell is 17-5 with a 2.02 ERA in 2018. His ERA ranks second in the American League and third in the majors. Snell's 17 wins are tied for the most in the majors. He should be owned in most leagues as a strong option.
