Kansas City Royals middle infielder Adalberto Mondesi has been activated from the family medical emergency list. He had been out since Friday. Outfielder Paulo Orlando was demoted to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Mondesi is hitting .250 with three home runs, 11 RBI and five stolen bases in 2018. He might earn more starts if/when Whit Merifield is traded, however, he isn't worth a pickup at this time.--Dan Fappiano
