Jed Lowrie Has Leg Contusion

Oakland Athletics All-Star second baseman Jed Lowrie (leg) suffered a left leg contusion after colliding with outfielder Stephen Piscotty in the game Friday night. He was removed from the game and could sit out on Saturday, but it appears to be just a day-to-day type of injury. Lowrie has been excellent for his fantasy owners this year, hitting .289/.360/.499 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI and 42 runs in 92 games. He's already matched his career high in long balls from 2012.
