Daniel Mengden Leaves Rough Game Early With injury
Daniel Mengden departs game after being roughed up by the White Sox Saturday. Mengden left the game after two innings with a right ankle sprain but his performance might not have allowed him to stay much longer. He allowed five runs on four hits while only striking out one and walking one batter. Manager Bob Melvin stated the ankle injury was not in the same location as the surgery Mengden had last year, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Assuming his ankle is healthy, Mengden will have a rough go of it facing the Indians in his next start.
