Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews broke his nose in a charity softball game on Saturday. He was hit by a line drive in the face while he was pitching. In 2017, Matthews returned to his role as an outside pass rusher, where he was only moderately effective. The former All Pro is part of a pass-rushing unit that looks like it may be the weakness of Green Bay’s defense heading into 2018. Matthews shouldn’t face any long-term issues on account of the broken nose, which will require surgery. He was already sitting out of organized team activities on account of a minor knee surgery that he had this offseason.--Tyger McGuigganRead More News
