Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Michael Lorenzen was activated from the DL and pitched a solid 10th inning on Wednesday, giving up a single and a walk with no strikeouts in an extra-innings loss to the Pirates. The outing was Lorenzen's first of the season, as he had started the season on the DL with a shoulder injury. Lorenzen's activation to the Reds bullpen coincides with Raisel Iglesias' exit to the DL. Interim manager Jim Riggleman said that Lorenzen was one of five Reds relievers that could see save opportunities in the interim. Lorenzen posted a 0.00 ERA in four innings pitched in his rehab assignment at Double-A Pensacola, but fantasy players may be wise to avoid gambling on him until he has settled into the Major League bullpen.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
