Aaron Judge Crushes One In Defeat

While the New York Yankees pitching was putrid on Wednesday night, the offense was once again masterful, pounding out 10 runs, usually more than enough to win a game. Two of those runs came off a powerful blow from Aaron Judge in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old’s mammoth home run went 471 feet, putting his club up by five runs at the time. It was one of two hits for last season’s AL Rookie of the Year, but it wasn't enough as the pitching staff surrendering 12 runs en route to a second consecutive defeat. After an off day on Thursday, the Yankees begin a homestand on Friday with a series against the Angels.
