Cesar Hernandez’s Home Run Fuels Comeback
With the Philadelphia Phillies having been shut out through the first five innings of Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, they entered the sixth staring at a possible disappointing loss to the lowly opponents. Leading off the inning, however, was the club’s terrific leadoff hitter, Cesar Hernandez, who promptly drilled a game-tying solo home run. It was the 27-year-old’s one of two hits on the day, as he fueled a comeback victory in the rain at Camden Yards. With a final score of 6-1, the club moved to eight games over .500 as they continue their turnaround from an abysmal 2017 season.
