The New York Yankees announced Wednesday that starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a strain in his left elbow on his throwing arm. Montgomery left his start on Tuesday night after throwing just seven pitches. The New York Daily News reports that Montgomery appears to have avoided the possibility of needing Tommy John surgery for now, and right-hander Domingo German should fill in for Montgomery while he is out. German could be a decent streaming option in deeper leagues in the right matchups.--Michael
