Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): Greenbrier Classic

Kyle Stanley (-7) won the Quicken Loans National in a playoff over Charles Howell III. This tournament was lacking starpower and the greens had brown patches. Ew. I loved when one announcer said, Justin Thomas won the U.S. Open at 16-under yet the winning score isn't even half the U.S. Open winning score. The tournament favorite Rickie Fowler shot a five-under final round to finish 5-under and T-3.

Anyways, I'll be looking to get back on top the PGA Expert leaderboard providing you with my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks for the Greenbrier Classic. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.

If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the tournament Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @Seth_Fink.

Reviewing Last Week's Pick

Patrick Reed ($11,200): T-17, 2-under. Should've played better.

Tony Finau ($9,100): T-29, 1-over.

David Lingmerth ($8,500): T-5, 4-under. Was the 54-hole leader even after shooting 3-over in the third round. He was also 3-over in the final round, and pretty much choked this tournament away.

Ollie Schniederjans ($8,300): T-63, 9-over.

Morgan Hoffman ($7,800): Cut.

Billy Hurley ($7,600): T-63, 9-over.

Adam Hadwin ($6,900): Cut.

Jim Herman ($6,800): Cut.

Greenbrier Classic

There was no Greenbrier Classic last year due to major flooding that suspended the tournament. The Old White TPC, located in White Sulphur Springs, WV, is a 7,286 yard par 70 course. Danny Lee is the defending champion (2015). After the flooding last year, "which forced the cancellation of The Greenbrier Classic, the golf course was closed and completely restored by noted architect Keith Foster. While the routing plan and hole concepts were retained every green complex was rebuilt, new grasses introduced to the greens, fairways and bunkers faces while trees were selectively thinned to reintroduce unbelievable views and sight lines not seen for decades."

There are four par 3's including the one on the 18th hole. There are only two par 5's and both are on the back-nine. Therefore, par 4 scoring will be vital. Scoring at this tournament as bene historically low so birdie or better percentage is another stat to look at.

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

High-Cost Players

Bill Haas ($10,800)

Besides for being cut at this tournament in 2015, he finished 2-33-9-23 in his four other tries. He's made four cuts in a row with finishes all in the top-25, including 13th this past week. He's 21st in par 4 scoring and 86th in birdie percentage.

Danny Lee ($9,500)

The defending champion has made his last six cuts including three top 10's. He is 82nd in par 4 scoring and 37th in birdie percentage. His high price though shows how weak of a field this is.

Middle-Cost Players

Xander Schauffele ($7,900)

The 23-year-old grabbed my attention at the U.S. Open two weeks ago backinh up his fifth place finish with a 14th and 35th at the two tournaments since. He's 21st in par 4 scoring and 34th in birdie percentage. This will be his tournament debut, but that won't faze him.

Jimmy Walker ($7,800)

The one-time major winner has a checkered history at the Greenbrier. Since 2010 he's finished; 4, 4, cut, 2, cut (he did not compete in 2015). He was cut at his past two events, U.S. Open and Quicken Loans. He's 109th in par 4 scoring and 103rd in birdie percentage.

Ollie Schniederjans ($7,400)

After finishing 64th last week, his price dropped by $900. Ollie has not missed a cut since the end of March, Shell Houston Open. This week his price is perfect and he'll definitely make the cut yet again. This will be his tournament debut and his stats are a good fit for this course; 82nd in par 4 scoring and 47th in birdie percentage.

Low-Cost Players

Ted Potter ($7,200)

Here is what PGA guru Rob Bolton had to say about Potter, "The 2012 champ is enjoying a career renaissance post-ankle injury at the age of 33. Fourth on the Web.com Tour in earnings, third in the all-around. Fantastic putter." He's competed here three times and has a win, 6th and 26th place finish. His stats don't account because he's on the Web.com Tour, but Potter is a great sleeper.

Cameron Tringale ($6,500)

This will be his seventh consecutive time competing here and the past six times as follows; cut, 4, 56, 23, 4, cut. He's 192nd in par 4 scoring and 133rd in birdie percentage, but a player at this price won't have good stats. His course experience makes him a good sleeper.

Robert Garrigus ($6,300)

He was cut at SEVEN consecutive events, but finally ended that bad streak this past week. He's competed in this event twice finishing 37th in 2015 and was cut in 2010. His stats though seem perfect for this course; 21st in par 4 scoring and 34th in birdie percentage.

Best of luck!
