Texas Targeting Cam Coleman in Transfer Portal
The Texas Longhorns are working on bringing Auburn wide receiver transfer Cam Coleman on a visit to Austin, according to On3's Pete Nakos. Coleman announced his desire to enter the transfer portal last week, and he's widely viewed as the No. 1 overall player available. The rising junior has been excellent at Auburn despite the team's lackluster offensive showing, collecting 93 receptions for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns in 23 career games. After losing key wide receivers such as Matthew Golden, Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, and Isaiah Bond to the NFL over the last two seasons, Texas lacked consistent high-level play at the position in 2025. Adding Coleman to Arch Manning's group of weapons could take the team's offense to the next level as they look to compete for a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2026 after failing to make the CFP for the first time since the 2022-2023 campaign this season.
