Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has been the most productive pass-catcher for the Packers in the past few weeks, and he looks to carry over that momentum when the Packers head to Denver to face the Broncos in Week 15. Watson followed up a 4-80-1 effort against the Detroit Lions in Week 13 with a 4-89 and two scores last week in the Packers' pivotal division showdown with the Chicago Bears.
Watson runs into a stiff test in Week 15, as he'll likely draw the shadow coverage of Patrick Surtain II, one of the best cornerbacks in football and the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Despite that, Watson is on a heater right now for fantasy, and if anybody can break a long reception for a score, it's Watson.
Surtain's presence should temper fantasy managers' expectations for Watson this week. That said, Watson is a volatile WR3 fantasy option against the Broncos.
Jakobi Meyers, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is looking to score a touchdown in his fourth straight game with a robust matchup against the Jets. Meyers is fully integrated into the offense following the midseason trade from Las Vegas, clearing an 80% snap count in each of his last three games.
The return of Brian Thomas Jr. to the field didn't cut into his role either, as Meyers just logged 10 targets last week. The Jets' opponents don't often log high passing volume, but they allow a top-10 touchdown rate with zero interceptions and a bottom-three QB hit tally.
Fantasy managers can be encouraged by the low pressure and a consolidated target share at the top of Jacksonville's food chain, which all comes together to make Meyers a top-20 WR in RotoBaller's Week 15 rankings.
Stefon Diggs, WR, New England Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is gearing up for another potential revenge game against the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. When these two teams last faced each other in Week 5, Diggs exploded for his best game of the season, amassing 12 targets, 10 catches, and 146 receiving yards.
The veteran receiver had an impressive stretch of performances near the middle of the season, but he came back down to earth over the last two weeks, totaling just five catches and zero touchdowns during that span while playing fewer than half of the offensive snaps. Despite recently failing to live up to his expectations, Diggs is still a very talented receiver who has repeatedly earned Drake Maye's trust.
He has a strong chance to bounce back against his old team in Week 15. As it stands, he ranks as the overall WR21 in RotoBaller's latest fantasy football rankings.
Michael Pittman, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. had a down year in 2024. However, he's turned it around this season. In 13 appearances, the 28-year-old has 69 catches (94 targets) for 699 yards. While he could have a tough time surpassing his mark from the 2023 campaign (109 receptions), he has already amassed a career-high seven touchdowns.
Unfortunately, the Colts have struggled of late, with the team losing their last three contests. To make matters worse, Daniel Jones went down with a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As a result, Indy will turn to Philip Rivers or Riley Leonard (knee), who no longer carries an injury designation, in Sunday's meeting with the Seahawks.
As expected, many feel that neither player will do enough to get Indianapolis back to the top of the AFC South. With that in mind, Pittman's fantasy ceiling might be at its lowest point of the season, especially with a challenging contest on tap. Although he's still a must-start in any setup, considering he's been a top fantasy wideout, managers should expect the worst and hope for the best in Week 15.
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Denver Broncos
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had his second-best game of the season in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans, pulling in three of his five targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. This was his most yards since facing the Jets in Week 10, despite having an 88.15% route participation rate for the season.
The 26-year-old is tied with rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. for the team lead in targets with 85. Jeudy has an uphill battle ahead of him against the Chicago Bears in Week 15.
However, he should get more looks with fellow wide receivers Cedric Tillman (concussion, ribs) and Malachi Corley (concussion) still in the league's concussion protocol after sustaining injuries in Week 14. Nonetheless, Jeudy's inconsistency has disappointed fantasy managers all season, and he is a low-end WR3/FLEX option heading into Week 15.
