Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:
Tyler Shough, QB, New Orleans Saints
The rookie second-rounder has shown real flashes in his five starts and firmly belongs in the QB2 discussion moving forward for fantasy football. In Week 15, the 26-year-old faces a Carolina Panthers team that he already beat back in Week 10, when he completed 19 of 27 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns.
It may not be as easy the second time he faces them, but the emerging Shough is worth adding and starting in superflex formats.
Pat Bryant, WR, Denver Broncos
After that, Bryant has finished with seven receptions for 74 yards over his last two games. The rookie wideout has been the second-best wideout lately behind Courtland Sutton. His recent performances should be enough to put Bryant on the fantasy radar as a WR4/flex option in Week 15 when the Broncos host the Green Bay Packers.
Both Sutton and Troy Franklin figure to be involved as well, but Bryant has done enough to earn consideration off the waiver wire for WR depth going into the fantasy playoffs.
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Cleveland Browns
The 23-year-old went 23-for-42 passing for 364 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception while adding three carries for 29 yards and a fourth touchdown. His TD passes went to receiver Jerry Jeudy and tight ends Harold Fannin Jr. and David Njoku. Sanders nearly led the Browns to a comeback in the fourth quarter, but they failed on a two-point conversion to tie the game.
The fifth-rounder out of Colorado can extend plays with his legs and has been aggressive in pushing the ball down the field. Sanders will have a stiff test in Week 15 on the road against a ball-hawking Bears defense.
Mason Taylor, TE, New York Jets
While quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been somewhat of a boon to New York's game plan, the added target threats have diminished the rookie's floor and ceiling. In addition, teammate Garrett Wilson (knee) could return as early as next Sunday, further dropping the rookie in the passing game hierarchy.
Taylor's long-term outlook remains solid, but owners can look elsewhere for help at the position ahead of the fantasy playoffs. He'll rank as RotoBaller's PPR TE26 for Week 14's matchup.
Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Detroit Lions
TeSlaa has seen extended playing time thanks to the absence of Lions wideout Kalif Raymond (ankle), who has missed two straight games with an ankle injury. Raymond's return timeline is uncertain, but his return would almost certainly cut into TeSlaa's chances in the future.
Still, Detroit may continue to utilize TeSlaa as a big-body threat in the red zone with tight ends Sam LaPorta (back) and Brock Wright (neck) on Injured Reserve. Fantasy managers interested in TeSlaa should monitor Raymond's injury status heading into Detroit's Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers
Melton's only catch of the game was a big 45-yard touchdown. The 22-year-old Golden returned to action on Sunday and disappointed, failing to haul in his only target while playing just five offensive snaps. The Texas product had missed the previous two games with shoulder and wrist injuries.
Golden should have a bigger role in a Week 15 matchup on the road against the 11-2 Denver Broncos, but fantasy managers just cannot trust him in a tough matchup while being buried in a crowded receiving corps that just got Jayden Reed back from Injured Reserve.
