Week 13 Running Back Rankings Outlooks
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears continued to share time in the backfield in Week 12's matchup with the Seahawks. He only had three carries for four yards, compared to Tony Pollard's 11 carries for 20 yards. Each running back also posted exactly four catches on five targets for 21 yards. While Pollard got more work this week, Spears played 43% of snaps and remains in almost an even snap share. If he can get going in any week, he'll likely end up with over 50% of snaps, as he did in Week 8 and Week 11.
His best game of the year was Week 8 against Indianapolis, when he had nine carries for 59 yards and his only touchdown of the season. Spears is getting enough work to still be a deep-league flex play from the waiver wire, although he has tough running back matchups against the Jaguars and Browns the next two weeks.
Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton has missed six consecutive games since being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury suffered during a Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders. Head coach Jim Harbaugh said he does not expect Hampton's practice window to be opened until after their Week 12 bye, so there should be a new update coming soon on the rookie's status. The 22nd overall pick in this past year's draft was working off to the side in practice before the bye and is now out of the walking boot, which should give him a decent shot of suiting up in Week 13 against the Raiders.
Hampton was having a strong rookie season before the injury, recording 66 carries for 314 yards and two touchdowns to go with 20 receptions (22 targets) for 136 yards in five games, good for an average of 15.4 PPR points per game. Second-year back Kimani Vidal will return to a backup role, and Hampton should slot back in as a high-end RB2 in fantasy upon his return.
Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (knee) is targeting a return to the lineup this Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Pacheco has been out with a sprained MCL in his knee since Week 8 (he's missed the last three games), but he was listed as a full participant on Monday's estimated injury report and looks to be trending in the right direction to suit up in Dallas.
Veteran Kareem Hunt, who had a season-high 30 carries for 104 rushing yards and a touchdown in Sunday's overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts, should continue to be KC's preferred option out of the backfield against the Cowboys, making the 26-year-old Pacheco not much more than a shaky, low-upside, touchdown-dependent RB3/flex for fantasy managers. When healthy, Pacheco's volume has taken a hit in 2025, and he has only 329 rushing yards and one TD in his eight games played.
Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten was unable to find much success in the running game during Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Tuten rushed the ball seven times for 17 yards in the overtime victory. It's worth noting that Tuten did carry an ankle injury into this game, so possibly that impacted his performance on the field.
In Week 11, Tuten rushed for 74 yards with a touchdown in the win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The rookie back remains the backup, but should continue seeing nearly double-digit carries per week. His struggles this week could make fantasy managers hesitant, but he does head into a plus matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 13.
Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (knee), who missed his first game of the year in Week 12 due to a knee contusion, was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In Jacobs' absence in Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, Emanuel Wilson stepped in nicely, running for 100-plus yards and scoring twice on the ground. It could be just a one-week boost for Wilson's fantasy value, though, if Jacobs can return for a Thanksgiving Day game against the division-rival Detroit Lions this Thursday.
If Jacobs can practice in full on either Tuesday or Wednesday, he will most likely return to lead-back duties in Week 13. The 27-year-old former first-rounder has been a no-doubt, must-start RB1 in fantasy this year, scoring on the ground 11 times in his 10 games.
