Week 11 Fantasy Football Quarterback Outlooks

Drake Maye, New England Patriots

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye remains a must-start in fantasy football ahead of Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets in Week 11. Maye is coming off a solid 270-yard, two-touchdown game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that made him the highest-scoring quarterback in fantasy football this season. He continues to flash a high completion rate, consistent scoring tendencies, strong passing yardage efficiency, and impressive rushing abilities, allowing him to stand atop the fantasy football podium while leading the Patriots to an 8-2 start (and a seven-game win streak).

This week, Maye gets a relatively favorable matchup against the Jets, who have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points and fifth-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks in 2025. Maye remains a high-end QB1 for this divisional matchup on national television.

J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (hand) was officially limited in practice on Wednesday, according to Alec Lewis of The Athletic. McCarthy had some swelling in his right throwing hand after hitting it on a helmet during Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. While the second-year signal-caller may be a bit limited in practice this week as a result, he's fully expected to play this Sunday against the Chicago Bears in Week 11. The 22-year-old former first-rounder finished 20-for-42 passing for a career-high 248 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in the Week 10 loss to the Ravens.

McCarthy started strong but struggled to put drives together after the first quarter. He has shown upside in his first four NFL games in 2025 after missing all of 2024 with a knee injury. However, fantasy managers hoping for more for the rest of this year must be willing to live with the ups and downs as he continues to develop.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) will have an "aggressive practice" on Wednesday with the goal of starting on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to David Lombardi of the San Francisco Standard. Purdy hasn't played in a game since aggravating his turf-toe injury during a Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 25-year-old has been a limited participant in practice recently, but he looks to be on track to make his return in Week 11 if all goes according to plan.

Star running back Christian McCaffrey said Wednesday that "he looks like Brock," and noted that Purdy is running and throwing well at practice. Purdy's status will be closely monitored this week, and if he can return, he will rank as a low-end QB1 on Sunday against the Cardinals.

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and did not take part in practice on Wednesday, according to DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN. Stroud is still experiencing concussion symptoms after sitting out the Week 10 comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, which does not bode well for his status for this Sunday's divisional tilt against the Tennessee Titans.

Backup Davis Mills did not look very good leading Houston's offense in Stroud's place for three quarters last Sunday, but then he miraculously led the team to an improbable comeback in the fourth quarter, finishing 27-for-45 passing for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Mills' spirited effort could convince them to play it safe with Stroud going forward, especially in a very winnable game against Tennessee. As of right now, it's looking like fantasy managers will be without Stroud again this weekend.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) missed Wednesday's practice due to knee soreness, but that "he should be good" to play on Sunday in Week 11 versus the division-rival Cleveland Browns, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. The Ravens are downplaying the injury, and Jackson should be back on the practice field on Thursday.

It's something to keep an eye on, but as long as the 28-year-old two-time MVP is active this weekend, he should be in all starting fantasy football lineups despite a less-than-ideal matchup on the road against the Browns. Jackson went 19-for-29 passing for 225 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in the 41-17 win over Cleveland in their first meeting this season back on Sept. 14.

Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and will not start against the visiting Green Bay Packers in Week 11 on Sunday, according to interim head coach Mike Kafka. Veteran Jameis Winston, not Russell Wilson, will start under center for the G-Men this weekend with Dart sidelined. The 22-year-old signal-caller suffered a concussion in last Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears and will have to miss at least one game.

Given their record, the Giants will likely play it safe with their first-round QB, so it probably won't be a lock that Dart returns to start in Week 12 on the road against the Detroit Lions. Before his concussion in Week 10, Dart had injected life into New York's offense and had become a QB1 option for fantasy managers because of his rushing abilities, scoring seven rushing touchdowns in his first nine games. Keep Dart stashed everywhere.

Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers struggled in a Week 10 loss, completing 16 of his 31 pass attempts for 161 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Fortunately, he is poised to bounce back at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. Although the Steelers lost to the Bengals on the road back in Week 7, Rodgers went off for 249 yards and four touchdowns.

With Pittsburgh favored and Cincinnati surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points per contest to opposing signal-callers, Rodgers is back on the fantasy radar as a high-end QB2 and quality streaming option on Sunday.
