Dereck Lively II Downgraded to Unavailable on Wednesday
According to Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com, Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (knee) won't suit up against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. Lively carried a questionable tag, but he has since been downgraded to unavailable and will miss his ninth consecutive contest due to a right knee sprain. The 21-year-old opened the season as the team's starting center in the first three contests, averaging 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 17 minutes while shooting 77.8 percent from the field. With Lively still on the shelf, Daniel Gafford will continue to take on most of the available minutes at center.
