Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 10:
Jakobi Meyers, WR, Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers walks into an immediate opportunity to dominate the target share as they face the Houston Texans in Week 10. Meyers joins a wide receiver room absent of Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) and Travis Hunter (knee).
The Jaguars are averaging just 215.3 yards per game through the air, but Meyers' biggest competition for targets this week is 23-year-old Parker Washington. Trevor Lawrence and the offense face a tough test against a Texans defense that is allowing just 177.5 passing yards per game and ranks fourth with nine interceptions on the year. Meyers is a must-start option this week, as Lawrence tests out his new weapon on day one.
Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks acquired wide receiver Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been one of the best receivers in the NFL for the Seahawks so far in his second NFL season, but now Seattle will have a legitimate deep threat for rising quarterback Sam Darnold as they push to become a real Super Bowl contender in the second half of the season.
Shaheed, 27, had 44 catches on 66 targets for 499 yards and two touchdowns over nine games in New Orleans while working mostly with QB Spencer Rattler. In Seattle, he should have a more stable floor and a higher ceiling in fantasy football in a passing offense that is humming right now. The addition of Shaheed will be bad news for rookie receiver Tory Horton, who caught two touchdowns in the Sunday night win over the Washington Commanders.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle (quadriceps) appears to be trending in the right direction heading into Sunday's matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Dowdle was seen stretching ahead of practice Thursday, after working on the side Wednesday. The emerging star is now wearing a helmet in practice, which is an encouraging sign.
Continue to monitor injury reports through the weekend, with Dowdle viewed as a must-start if healthy. The 27-year-old has amassed 735 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just 131 carries this season, while adding another 132 yards and a touchdown through the air. The Saints are allowing 129.4 rushing yards per game, and it is unlikely that quarterback Tyler Shough will be able to sustain drives and keep Dowdle off the field Sunday.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is missing from practice for a second straight day this week on Thursday due to a hamstring injury that forced him from the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, according to Taylor Kyles. Boutte is trending in the wrong direction to play in this weekend's contest on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers unless he can return to practice on Friday in some capacity.
The 23-year-old's momentum was halted by his injury on Sunday, as he was unable to pull in his only target before leaving and never returning. In the three games leading up to Week 9, Boutte was on the rise, with 10 catches on 12 targets for 223 yards and four touchdowns. If Boutte misses Week 10 action, Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas will be the Pats' top receivers, with tight end Hunter Henry also seeing a boost in fantasy value.
Jameson Williams, WR, Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams had one of his better games of the 2025 season in Week 9, recording four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown on six targets in his team's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Williams has been a frustrating player for fantasy managers this season, as he has hauled in 21 catches for 355 yards and three scores on 36 targets across eight games.
Still, the 24-year-old has now recorded at least six targets, 66 receiving yards, and a touchdown in two out of his last three games. The main issue for Williams remains his non-existent floor, as the other game in that three-game stretch was a zero-catch performance. Williams remains a boom/bust flex option for fantasy managers heading into a potentially favorable Week 10 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
