Andy's fantasy football risers, breakouts, start 'em, sit 'em sleepers for Week 7 of 2025. Are these unexpected booms legit for Kayshon Boutte, Kimani Vidal, Dallas Goedert, others?
In Week 6, fantasy managers saw many under-the-radar players perform among the top players at their respective positions.
However, it's crucial to do a deeper dive and determine which of these performances are legit breakouts, and which performances could be fool's gold.
Should fantasy managers add these players to the waiver wire and plug them into the starting lineups? Let's dive in!

Kimani Vidal (LAC) @ Miami Dolphins
With Omarion Hampton (ankle) joining Najee Harris (Achilles) on the IR, Kimani Vidal led the backfield in Week 6. While many expected Hassan Haskins to split the workload with him, Vidal dominated the opportunities, taking 18 carries for 124 yards. Through the air, Vidal caught three of his four targets from 14 yards and a touchdown.
In this game, he flashed elite upside, taking two runs for more than 20 yards and logging 67% of the team's total snaps.
Verdict:
With Hampton slated to miss longer than the minimum four-game try on the IR, fantasy managers should view Vidal as a priority target on the waiver wire and must-start in Week 7. While he had the benefit of facing a weak Miami defense in Week 6, he has a tougher challenge in Week 7 against the Colts. His usage should provide him with the upside to reach high-end RB2 territory.
In this game, Haskins logged only 31% of the snaps, suggesting Vidal is the preferred option for Jim Harbaugh.

Kayshon Boutte (NE) @ New Orleans Saints
After a monster showing in Week 1, where Boutte caught six of his eight targets for 103 yards, the LSU product was held in check for the following four games. During Weeks 2 through 5, Boutte would average a modest 2.5 targets per game with just 5.9 PPR points per game.
However, in Week 6, Boutte led the way in their victory over the Saints, catching all five of his targets for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
Verdict:
Unlike Vidal, Boutte's usage is much tougher to trust. In Weeks 4 and 5, Stefon Diggs operated as Drake Maye's top option but took the backseat in Week 5. Given Maye's ascension, he could eventually support two high-end WR2s for fantasy purposes. However, since he seems to favor one primary wide receiver in each contest, Boutte is projected to carry low-end WR3 upside in most weeks.
In Week 7, he could be in the position to provide FLEX upside facing a weak Tennessee Sunday that has allowed the 14th-most PPR points per game to opposing WRs this season. However, with Diggs also expected to see a high amount of targets, Boutte could still provide single-digit PPR performances.
Marquise Brown (KC) vs. Detroit Lions
The other breakout WR of Week 6 was Marquise "Hollywood" Brown of the Chiefs. During the third quarter against the Lions, Brown led the way through the air, catching four of his five targets for 456 yards and two touchdowns. Through six games, Brown has averaged a solid 13.0 PPR points per game and seen 7.3 targets per game.
Verdict:
While his production has been relatively stable as a mid-end WR3, fantasy managers should not count on this production going forward. The Chiefs will welcome back their primary WR1, Rashee Rice, in Week 7, who will take a large amount of the target share. With Xavier Worthy still expected to have a prominent role in the offense, alongside veteran tight end Travis Kelce, Brown figures to be the No. 4 option on a weekly basis.
While Brown's elite speed could open the door for spike weeks, he will be hard to trust, given that he may only see a handful of targets in each contest.
Dallas Goedert (PHI) @ New York Giants
While much of the focus in the fantasy community has been on the disappointing play of Philadelphia's top wide receivers, tight end Dallas Goedert has quietly put together a strong start to the campaign. On Thursday night, he enjoyed his best outing of the season, catching nine of his 11 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Through five games (injured in Week 2), Goedert has averaged an impressive 15.7 PPR points per game and scored five touchdowns.
Verdict:
Given that Jalen Hurts has struggled to connect with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith downfield, Goedert should remain a viable TE1 in all formats. His hefty 6.6 targets per game should keep his floor relatively high. His ability to draw targets in the red zone gives him a high ceiling every week.

Jaxson Dart (NYG) vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The final player we will look at in this week's piece is breakout rookie QB Jaxson Dart. After taking a tough loss to the Saints in Week 5, Dart led the way in their upset victory over the reigning Super Bowl Champions.
Facing the Eagles, Dart would go 17-for-25 with 195 yards and one passing score, and add 58 yards with a rushing score. Through his first three starts, Dart has averaged 23.4 PPR points per game and has scored six total touchdowns.
Verdict:
Given his ability to produce with his legs, Dart carries low-end QB1 upside for the remainder of the season. Managers who have fringe QB1 options like Jordan Love or Matthew Stafford should consider stashing Dart for the remainder of the season. His rushing ability provides him with a much higher upside.
Even though he has a tougher matchup in Week 8, facing the Broncos, he should be rostered in all one-QB leagues and started as a low-end QB1.
