Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt (undisclosed) has been downgraded from probable to doubtful for Saturday's Big 12 matchup against Utah, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. The redshirt sophomore is banged up following the bye week, and it appears the well-traveled veteran, Jeffs Sims, is in line for his first start for the Sun Devils this season. Sims spent three years at Georgia Tech and one year at Nebraska before transferring to Arizona State in 2024. Overall, he has tallied 4,914 passing yards, 1,464 rushing yards, and 42 total touchdowns in 36 career games. With Leavitt likely out of the lineup, Utah should be considered a heavier favorite to take home the victory in Week 7.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
