William Nylander Tallies Three Points in Season-Opening Win
Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander contributed a goal and two assists as the team kicked off the 2025-26 NHL campaign with a 5-2 home victory against the Montreal Canadiens. The visitors made it a tough game for Nylander's crew, but Toronto was able to shake them off in the final frame. After Morgan Rielly put the Maple Leafs 3-2 up, Nylander notched a goal and an assist with Montreal's net empty. His first helper came just a minute into the game when Bobby McMann lit the lamp. Nylander has registered 269 points (125 goals, 144 assists) over the last three seasons and looks poised for another highly productive year as one of Toronto's top forwards.
