Updated mid-week fantasy football waiver wire rankings for Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. Top fantasy football free agents and streamers to add off waivers.
Injuries continue to pile up while the Vikings and Texans are on the bye this week. Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, and he will miss the next four games. At RotoBaller HQ, we are here to help navigate you through injuries and the bye weeks with our updated waiver wire rankings for fantasy football Week 6 of the 2025 season to help fantasy managers find those injury replacements.
The Chargers lost Najee Harris earlier in the year and will be without Hampton for a few weeks, leaving a gaping hole in the Chargers' backfield. Will Kimani Vidal or Hassan Haskins take over the lead role with Hampton sidelined-- which is the player to prioritize on the waiver wire? Has Ryan Flournoy earned more targets in the Cowboys' passing game after hauling in six of his nine targets for 114 yards in Sunday's win over the Jets? Our waiver wire rankings help prioritize these types of decisions. As the week proceeds and more injury reports are confirmed, we tweak and adjust our waiver wire rankings for all positions.
These Week 6 waiver wire rankings are updated by Nick Mariano, RotoBaller's lead fantasy football analyst and forecaster. For those who are not familiar, he brings you his weekly waiver wire rankings and priority adds for the top 85 options to consider across various positions and league sizes. Good luck in Week 6 on the waiver wire!

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Some of the top names include Hassan Haskins, Kimani Vidal, Ryan Flournoy, Jalen Coker, and Mason Taylor. We recap why these players should be on your waiver wire radar for Week 6.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running backs Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins are now in line for the bulk of the backfield load with rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) going on Injured Reserve on Monday, according to Eric Smith of Chargers.com. Najee Harris (Achilles) is also out for the season. Vidal had 18 rushing yards on four carries in Sunday's loss to the Washington Commanders, with Haskins carrying the ball five times for 13 yards.
The Chargers will most likely call up Amar Johnson to serve as the RB3 for at least the next four games with Hampton sidelined. Both Vidal and Haskins played 14 offensive snaps on Sunday versus Washington, but it's unclear exactly how the workload will be divvied up between Vidal and Haskins moving forward. Still, both RBs are worth attention on the waiver wire this week, with an increase in volume coming for the next four games.
Hassan Haskins, RB, Chargers
With both running backs Omarion Hampton (ankle) and Najee Harris (Achilles) on Injured Reserve, Los Angeles Chargers RB Hassan Haskins is the "next man up," writes Daniel Popper of The Athletic. For his career, Haskins has 195 rushing yards with a 3.0 yards-per-carry average. Behind him, the Bolts have Kimani Vidal and Amar Johnson on the practice squad. Vidal has been elevated from the practice squad for the last two games and had an equal amount of offensive snaps as Haskins on Sunday in the loss to the Washington Commanders.
In addition to the team's RB depth being thinned out, the Chargers have also dealt with injuries to key players along their offensive line. It could be tough sledding on the ground for L.A. moving forward, with Haskins and Vidal potentially splitting the workload down the middle. Both RBs are worth picking up off the waiver wire if you have Hampton or need a bye-week replacement.
Ryan Flournoy, WR, Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy had the best game of his career on Sunday against New York, and he could stay involved in his team's high-volume passing attack in the coming weeks. CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (ankle) were out in Week 5, and if they miss week as well, Flournoy could be busy once again as the Cowboys visit the Panthers in Week 6. In his career day against the Jets, the 25-year-old caught six of his nine targets for 114 yards and took two carries for 10 yards.
He tied for the team lead in targets with Jake Ferguson and posted more receiving yards than any other player on the roster. Flournoy had just four catches this season prior to Sunday and only 10 catches for all of last year. The second-year receiver from Southeast Missouri State will be a deep-league option to keep an eye on, though, since the Cowboys have been throwing the ball so often this season.
Jalen Coker, WR, Panthers
According to Joe Person of The Athletic, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is slated to have his practice window opened prior to Wednesday's practice. This is an excellent sign for the second-year wideout, as he has been on the injured reserve since the beginning of the season. While he was unable to return this past Sunday, it appears Coker will be in the mix to make his season debut this weekend when the Panthers face the Dallas Cowboys.
As a rookie, Coker showed flashes of potential at times, catching 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns. This season, the Panthers have not had a reliable No. 2 option, opposite of star rookie Tetairoa McMillan, which could open up a large target share for Coker. When healthy, managers should expect Coker to be the primary slot option and carry FLEX value in PPR formats.
Mason Taylor, TE, Jets
New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor has quickly become a main part of the team's passing game, and the rookie tight end is worth a look in almost all fantasy formats due to the volume he has been getting. The second-round pick out of LSU has been the team's top pass-catching tight end all season, but he had just two catches on three targets in his first two games.
Since then, though, he has 18 catches on 25 targets over three weeks for a total of 150 yards. Taylor set career-highs with nine catches on 12 targets for 67 yards against the Cowboys, pacing the team in catches and targets as the team tried to scramble back against Dallas. The 0-5 Jets have had to play from behind a lot this year, and they'll take on the Broncos in the morning game from London in Week 6. Taylor can definitely be a strong TE1 option for as long as he keeps getting so much volume.
