Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 5:
Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
He'll get a favorable matchup against the Seattle defense this weekend. White should see enough touches to be able to provide flex value for Week 5.
Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens
With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) sidelined, the Ravens are expected to lean heavily on the run game, especially with four running backs now on the active roster. The Texans have allowed the 15th-most fantasy points to running backs, and while Mitchell isn't projected to see a major workload right away, his activation adds excitement to Baltimore's backfield rotation.
Fantasy managers should keep an eye on how he's utilized in this new-look offense, as his explosiveness could earn him a more significant role moving forward.
Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos
After posting a dud in Week 3 after a breakout game in Week 2, Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin led the team with eight targets in Monday's win over the Bengals.
With the Philadelphia Eagles having a middle-of-the-pack pass defense (ranked 15th), Franklin can continue to be a focal point. At the same time, the Eagles are forced to focus on Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has seemingly favored Franklin as the WR2 on the offense, considering he has the same amount of targets as Sutton on the season.
In what could be a defensive game for both sides, feel confident in starting Franklin as a WR3/ FLEX option as he comes in as RotoBaller's WR35 for Week 5.
Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
That being said, Rachaad White will move into the lead back role with Tucker likely taking over as the backup. Through four games, Tucker has only rushed the ball once and has mainly been on special teams all season long. Tucker could be worth stashing in case Irving misses multiple weeks.
However, Tucker isn't a recommended streaming option for Week 5. White will likely see a majority of the carries while the Bucs probably go with a pass-heavy approach on offense.
Justice Hill, RB, Baltimore Ravens
However, Hill has 12 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets, and appears locked in as the team's primary passing-downs back. With Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) potentially facing a multi-week absence and the team's defense struggling, Baltimore could be chasing points more frequently over its next few games than in years past.
That would unquestionably be a good thing for Hill's fantasy outlook. He profiles as a low-end flex option in PPR leagues heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans.
