Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (back) is sitting out on Saturday against the Minnesota Twins. Maikel Garcia will fill in at short and hit second versus Twins ace Joe Ryan, while Nick Loftin will play third base and bat seventh. Witt left the Royals' 2-1 win on Friday with lower-back spasms and will get at least one game off as a result. The durable superstar has appeared in 139 of the Royals' 141 games this season and slashed .294/.352/.503 with 21 homers, 77 RBI, 90 runs scored, and 34 stolen bases in 605 plate appearances. The playoff-contending Royals and fantasy managers will hope to get him back on Sunday.--Connor Byrne
