To replicate that success, Matsuyama will need to be solid off the tee, from tee to green, and with long approach shots. He ranks 16th in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-0.898 per round) and 12th on approach (plus-0.576), but struggles off the tee, sitting 126th (minus-0.171). However, he excels from key ranges, ranking ninth in proximity from 175-200 yards and sixth from 200-plus yards.
