Harris English Aims for Complete Game at East Lake
Despite losing over 1.4 strokes from tee to green last week, Harris English still managed a T12 finish at the BMW Championship, mainly due to a hot putter that gained him over six strokes. He now heads to the Tour Championship, where he's previously finished T18, T12, and T22, though he's lost over three strokes off the tee in each of those starts. To improve this time around, he'll need to be more consistent off the tee, on long approach shots, and solid overall with his tee-to-green play. English ranks 67th in strokes gained from tee to green (plus-0.251), 52nd off the tee (plus-0.223), and just 96th on approach (plus-0.017). He's also 115th in driving distance, 65th in accuracy, 91st in proximity from 175-200 yards, and 148th from 200-plus yards. At a DraftKings price of $6,900, there's clear value if his putter stays hot, but if his off-the-tee game doesn't improve, especially at East Lake, his upside could be limited.
