Akshay Bhatia a High-Upside Play at BMW Championship
After withdrawing from the Wyndham Championship, Akshay Bhatia bounced back with a T6 finish at the St. Jude Championship, his fourth top-10 finish of the season. He will look to keep that momentum going at the BMW Championship, which returns to a renovated Caves Valley for the first time since 2021. The 7,600-yard, par-70 layout will demand both strong approach play and distance off the tee. Bhatia ranks 27th in total strokes gained, 13th on approach, and 135th in driving distance. His biggest inconsistency has been his putter, losing strokes in seven of his last eight events, though he still sits 28th on tour in strokes gained putting. He also ranks 26th in proximity from over 200 yards, a key range given the course's length. Sitting 29th in the FedEx Cup standings, Bhatia is right on the bubble for next week's Tour Championship, making his $8,200 price tag on DraftKings an appealing play this week.
