Gerrit Cole Could Resume Throwing Soon
Gerrit Cole (elbow) is reportedly close to beginning to throw, according to manager Aaron Boone. There was no date or many details, but Cole is scheduled to throw at some point in August. This would be the first time that Cole has pitched since having Tommy John surgery in mid-March. Cole won't pitch during the 2025 season, but the hope is that he'll be ready for the start of the 2026 campaign. It sounds like the veteran right-hander is making progress, but has a long road ahead of him.
