Ronald Acuna Jr. Looking Good While Taking Batting Practice
Ronald Acuna Jr. (calf) is hitting bombs in batting practice and also took ground balls on the infield this week, according to The Athletic's David O'Brien. Acuna has is "showing absolutely no lingering sign of the mild right-calf strain that landed him on the 10-day injured list." It was initially feared that Acuna suffered a serious Achilles injury, but it was later announced that the 27-year-old former MVP is dealing with a mild calf injury. The Braves aren't going to rush the superstar outfielder back in what has become a lost season, but he should be able to return before the end of the season. Acuna was projected to miss two to three weeks. Once he resumes running, he could be close to going on a rehab assignment. Fantasy managers will want to keep him stashed in the meantime. Eli White has been Atlanta's right fielder with Acuna down.
