Eugenio Suarez Launches Two More Homers on Sunday
Eugenio Suarez. The 34-year-old went deep twice for the second game in a row in a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Suarez smashed a three-run bomb in the first inning and added a solo shot in the third, upping his National League-leading total to 35. He finished the game 2-for-4 to improve his line to .257/.328/.601 with 85 RBI and 63 runs scored in 403 plate appearances. Suarez now leads all of baseball in RBI and ranks behind only Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, and Shohei Ohtani in slugging percentage. It's not often a hitter of that caliber switches teams during the season, but it could happen with rumors swirling around Suarez leading up to the July 31 trade deadline.
