Shane van Gisbergen put on a dominating effort at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday afternoon, as the Trackhouse Racing driver won from the pole after leading 97 of the 110 laps en route to his third victory of the season.
Chase Briscoe put up a very strong effort on the day as well, finishing 1.128 seconds behind van Gisbergen when the checkered flag flew. Chase Elliott, Michael McDowell, and Christopher Bell rounded out the top 10.
This victory moves SVG up to 26th place in the points standings after 20 races. William Byron continues to lead by a narrow 14 points over his teammate, Chase Elliott. The Cup Series season continues next weekend at Dover Motor Speedway.
