Junior Caminero Homers in Second Straight Game
Junior Caminero smacked his 19th home run of the season in a 9-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. Caminero hit a 379-foot solo shot off right-hander Casey Mize and also singled during a 2-for-4 afternoon. The 21-year-old has homered in back-to-back games and has now gone deep six times this month. Playing his first full season in the majors, Caminero has been a steady source of production all year. The former elite prospect ranks in the league's 100th percentile in bat speed and has slashed .265/.310/.523 with 50 RBI, 46 runs, and five stolen bases over 306 plate appearances.
