Dodgers Option Emmet Sheehan to Triple-A
Emmet Sheehan to Triple-A Oklahoma City and selected the contract of right-hander Jack Little from the minors in a corresponding move. The team also transferred right-hander Tony Gonsolin (elbow) to the 60-day injured list. Sheehan made his 2025 season debut in Wednesday night's walk-off win over the division-rival San Diego Padres and looked sharp, allowing just one earned run on three hits while walking none and striking out six in four innings in a no-decision. The 25-year-old former sixth-rounder will serve as rotation depth for now in the minors, but another spot start could be coming sooner than later with Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki and Gonsolin all on the IL. Sheehan had an ERA just south of 5.00 but struck out 64 in 60 1/3 innings in his rookie season in L.A. in 2023.
