Luis Arraez Serving as DH on Friday
Luis Arraez (knee) is serving as the designated hitter for the Friars and is batting second in Friday's series opener on the road in Milwaukee against Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick. Arraez was pulled in Thursday's loss to the San Francisco Giants due to posterior knee soreness, but the 28-year-old two-time batting champion is back in the fold a day later. Gavin Sheets is starting at first base on Friday night and will hit fifth in the batting order. Arraez doesn't really help in fantasy besides providing a high average, as he has very little speed and power. However, with the shortest swing in the league, he still makes tons of contact and is currently batting .282 (62-for-22) with three homers, 21 RBI, 25 runs scored and two steals in 55 games. With an xBA of just .274, though, this could be the first time since 2021 that Arraez doesn't hit over .300 on the year.
