Max Muncy Comes Up Clutch in Two-Homer Game
Max Muncy went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs in a 6-5 extra-inning victory over the New York Mets on Tuesday. Muncy hit his first homer in the first inning, a two-run shot to extend the Dodgers' lead to 4-1. His second homer was much more important, as it came with L.A. down by one in the bottom of the ninth and sent the game to extras. Muncy has been on an absolute surge at the plate lately, homering five times in his last four games and collecting 11 RBI in that stretch. Overall, Muncy has a .230 AVG and .781 OPS to go along with 19 runs, nine homers, 35 RBI, and two steals in 183 at-bats. When healthy, Muncy is still a very solid source of power and counting stats. He should be rostered in all standard-size leagues.
