Chase Dollander to Come Off Injured List and Start on Tuesday
Chase Dollander (forearm) said that he will come off the 15-day injured list and start on Tuesday against the Miami Marlins after recovering from right-forearm inflammation. Dollander, the team's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, threw live batting practice last week but didn't go on a minor-league rehab assignment. It means that the 23-year-old will likely be on a short leash in his return to Colorado's starting rotation, and despite the plus matchup against the Fish, Dollander will be a very risky option for fantasy managers in his return. The former ninth overall pick in 2023 out of Tennessee was shaky in his first eight big-league starts before his injury, too, going 2-5 with a 6.28 ERA (6.03 FIP) and 1.42 WHIP with 38 strikeouts and 18 walks in 38 2/3 innings pitched. Miami sits at 19th in the big leagues right now with a .697 team OPS.
