Diontae Johnson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Johnson Rebound from Disastrous 2024?
Diontae Johnson had an adventurous 2024 season. He began the year as the Carolina Panthers' clear WR1. Things went sideways when Johnson was traded to the Baltimore Ravens midseason. He failed to receive consistent playing time, was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, and was eventually released. Johnson would then sign with the Houston Texans, but again failed to see the field and was released once more. With the Browns in desperate need of pass catchers behind Jerry Jeudy, the team decided to roll the dice on Johnson. He's still a talented player, but bouncing around between three teams in one year is a major red flag. Behavioral issues seemingly derailed his 2024 season. We'll have to see if Johnson can resurrect his career in Cleveland. However, with the Browns' current quarterback situation, that might prove difficult. Still, Johnson has drawn targets at a high rate whenever he's received consistent playing time. He's worth a flyer toward the end of drafts, particularly in full PPR leagues.
