Bryan Reynolds Resting Versus Lefty
Bryan Reynolds will take a seat on the bench for Friday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies with left-hander Ranger Suarez taking the bump. Tommy Pham is making the start in left field for Pittsburgh and will hit seventh against Suarez. Not only are the Pirates facing a tough left-hander, but Reynolds could use a day off after going hitless in 21 at-bats with seven strikeouts in his last five games. The cold stretch has dropped the two-time All-Star's season line to .194/.259/.309 with five home runs, 20 RBI, 16 runs scored and three stolen bases in 43 games played. Fantasy managers in single-year leagues may want to keep Reynolds benched until he shows signs of breaking out of his slump. Pham has been worse in 2025, going 19-for-108 (.176) with no homers, six RBI, nine runs and three steals for the Bucs.
